Pimento’s story began many years ago in the kitchen of West Kingston matriarch, Sylvia “Baby Lue” Jones, where she taught her grandson, Tomme “Young General” Beevas, how to lovingly prepare amazing meals for their community. You’re invited to experience her warmth in the flavor of each plate, and to join us in celebrating her life and legacy with every bite.

Winners of Food Network’s reality show, Food Court Wars, Pimento offers authentic Jamaican street food using family recipes, chef-inspired techniques and fresh local ingredients, all prepared from scratch. Food Court Wars pits two teams of aspiring food entrepreneurs against one another as they battle to win their own food court restaurant, rent-free for a year. The team whose restaurant makes the most profit wins their equipped eatery space. We’re proud to be growing from that former location in Burnsville, Minnesota, to now include a food truck, and our new flagship location on Eat Street (Nicollet Ave.), in Minneapolis.
