Knowledge Bookstore is a celebration of the wondrous achievements of Africans and their descendants worldwide. At Knowledge our goal is a journey of ‘self-knowledge’ for the purpose of uplifting the consciousness of the African (Black) community. It is our hope to inform people of African origin that they have a priceless and proud heritage that they need to acknowledge, support and cultivate.

The Knowledge family is committed to providing the tools to promote racial and cultural pride; and is dedicated to learning, sharing and teaching the true history of Africans worldwide. It is our intention to reintroduce the contributions and significance of Africa to the world.

Knowledge Bookstore is an independent Afrocentric bookstore located in Brampton Ontario that sells African Canadian, African American, Caribbean and Children books. We also offer Black dolls, greeting cards, dvds, beauty products and gift items not readily available in mainstream stores. Knowledge Bookstore is a community space as well as the go to source for parents, writers, poets, artists and the Black community.

Knowledge Bookstore started as a dream realized and continues to awaken the minds of our customers with our large assortment of children, history, religious, Caribbean, African and Black Studies titles. The reason we are at Knowledge Bookstores is because we love books. We love reading them, talking about them, and selling them.
